There’s a table I always look at when I want to know what’s going on in a campaign.
Here’s what it looks like…
The official name of this table is called “Facebook Ads Manager”, which is just a fancy way of saying “this is where you can find all the numbers about your campaign”.
It works like this: you decide what numbers to look at, make sense of it, and do something to make it better.
The only trouble is, when you’re a newbie, you have no idea what you should be looking at.
Like:
- Clickthrough rate (CTR) - Did you know that there are 2 ways Facebook measures CTR and both mean different things?
- Post Engagement - Did you know that post engagement does not correlate with conversions?
- Reach - Does reach mean people who see your ad or people who Facebook served your ad to? How many people should you reach before tweaking your ads?
And when you try to Google the answers, all you see are “experts” telling you to pay attention to cost per conversion and nothing else…(big mistake, but I will tell you more another time).
Then one day I saw Dennis Yu share this:
It describes how different numbers relate to another in Google Adwords, but it looks amazing! Marketers can easily learn what to look out for in Adwords.
And a few days later I went to AdEspresso’s Facebook group and saw Paul Fairbrother write this:
Again, a description of how different numbers (CPM, CPC, CTR) relate to another - except this time it’s for Facebook.
Both of these got me thinking.
This was different from the usual debate about what numbers to pay attention to. They use a real mathematical formula that shows how each number relates to another, not some “profit formula” that a salesman is trying to sell you.
My gut told me that this would help marketers know what to look out for much quicker than trying to figure it out all by themselves.
So when I started taking on more consulting clients, I knew I needed something that works.
Something that takes 10 seconds for a newbie to learn what the most important numbers are.
Enter The Facebook Optimization Universe.
It is a new 2-part mind-map I built that took my client from 1,292 leads to 2,059 leads per day - profitably.
This means that we were able to keep our cost per lead (CPL) while increasing the number of new leads by 71%. And every lead generated a net profit on average.
These are our actual numbers for the last few months:
How does Facebook Optimization Universe work?
Here’s what it looks like:
First, it shows you how Facebook ads are related to profit, revenue and cost - everything that a wise business owner cares about. And if you use this as a marketing consultant, your client will immediately “get you”.
Second, it shows you clearly how number of conversions, conversion rate, and clickthrough rate affect both revenue and cost. Which is why Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) is a thing.
Isn’t this awesome?
But wait, there’s MORE.
Knowing what numbers to look at is just the first step to getting better numbers.
There are a few more things you need to do before you can reduce CPL or increase conversions.
One thing about managing Facebook ads for a living is that you need a reliable process that produces results.
And none of the courses out there currently does that. Everyone is focused on the “one-page funnel” or “4-step funnel”, which teaches one way to get leads and conversions, but NOT the day-to-day process of actually doing it.
Which means people who buy Facebook ads courses cannot put what they learn into action. So they cannot get the results they want.
That’s why I created the second part of the Facebook Optimization Universe.
Here’s what it looks like:
If it looks overwhelming, that’s because this A4-size PDF shows the exact day-to-day process I use in my agency and to train the folks in BlitzMetrics, a Facebook Marketing Partner.
In fact I’m already planning to transform this into an interactive checklist you can use to manage ads everyday.
Imagine checking off a list of things everyday like a to-do list and see your results skyrocket after 30 days!
How can you get a copy of The Facebook Optimization Universe?
I posted a picture on Facebook just to see if people were interested, and within minutes I got clients and partners saying things like this:
But if all of you started using this tomorrow (which would absolutely make my day), I’d be flooded with so many questions that I won’t be able to help every one of you.
Although this tool is going to be amazing, I want to be on the safe side and work with a small group of marketers until it’s free from bugs.
Long story short: if fewer marketers use it, I can give them 1-to-1 attention and make this awesome.
So I had an idea: in a few weeks’ time, my flagship course AdsToProfits will open for fall enrollment.
What if I make this a core part of the training so that all students of the course get to implement it?
That would be PERFECT! I’ll be able to personally help 40-50 Facebook marketers get way more leads and profits, and refine The Facebook Optimization Universe for others to use in the future.
So if you’d like a copy of The Facebook Optimization Universe, do these 2 things:
- Get on the AdsToProfits waiting list (click here).
- Enroll in the course when it comes out in a few weeks’ time.
What if you’re already enrolled? That’s great - you’ll get a copy and personal attention from me too.
P.S. Got feedback on what you think you’d like to achieve with Facebook Optimization Universe? Hit “reply” and let me know.
